Des, after leaving school, did an Apprenticeship,and gained an advanced certificate in Fitting & Turning in 1967. After serving 2 years National Service in the Australian Army, he returned to the workforce in his trade.
In 1977, Des began installing Garages for a large local company, and branched out to his own company 3 years later, as Evans Home Improvements, and in 1985 as Evastrong Home Improvements Pty. Ltd.
He purchased land and built a large workshop at Ridgehaven servicing the North Eastern and surrounding suburbs. Here was the hub of fabricating Garages, Carports & Verandahs. From here, we're-located the business to the western suburbs, and to this day, have been servicing from this area since 1991.
